We Got Infested?? (Week 5)

Hey guys!! This week has been a very good and interesting week.

On Tuesday we did some more service for the food bank, and went live again on Facebook. The live was a lot of fun, for those of you that missed it we ate jello. Elder Leavitt spoke the great words of wisdom, "don't let your testimony be jello". 

I was also able to witness another miracle with our new friend Layla. I contacted her on Facebook, I was able to message her right as soon as she got of the phone with a loved one. She had been really struggling with depression. I was really able to help her though her this difficult time in her life. And that was awesome. I know that our Father in Heaven knows both of us perfectly, and we were definitely connected on Facebook for a reason. We did have a lesson last week but we had to reschedule but we should be teaching her again tonight!

On Wednesday, we finally met with our new friend Carmen. Elder Leavitt was able to get in contact with her on Facebook and we have been trying to set up a bible study for a long time now. But it finally happened and she has a crazy Bible. So on Friday we dropped off a KJV bible and a Book of Mormon. So that was cool!

On Thursday we picked up our new Elder. His name is Elder Averill. And he is actually from Ririe. We've grown up 15 minutes away from each other this whole time and here we are in Michigan. Hes and awesome missionary. He is very excited and enthusiastic to share the gospel. We are grateful for the opportunity we have to train him. On his first day in the mission, we were walking around the apartment complex and had a really nice lady yell at us from across the parking lot. She said "did you know that Joseph Smith was a pedophile?", and she rode off on her long board which was fun. 

On Saturday, I had a new personal best in Facebook responses with 10 which was really cool.

Also this week, Elder Leavitt has been waking up with bites on his ankle. We thought that maybe he had a spider in his sheets or something. And so on saturday, Elder Leavitt found a flea on his phone in the morning. So we found out that we had a flea problem! (Maybe). So we vacuumed the whole apartment, and I steamed the comforters and the couches and the mattresses. And we also sprayed some anti flea stuff in the apartment too. And so we definitely thought that we got rid of them. But Saturday night Elder Leavitt said he was getting bit again. And he apparently got bit last night again too. We are starting to think he's gone crazy. We are having a hard time believing him. He set up a trap last night and didn't catch any. So we will see 😂

On Sunday we had zoom Church and met with the Donnelly's again. They are still progressing well! We had sister Douglas present at this lesson and she helped a ton!! We also had a member lesson, and we reached out to Boone Allen again. Long story short, he is now open to meeting with us in person, and we will teach him on Wednesday! This will actually be my first in person lesson as a missionary.

Today we did some shopping and stuff, and then we are going to go play soccer in the rain soon so that will be fun! 

This week has been great and I look forward to another good week!
